Ada county coroner identifies body pulled from Boise River as missing local man

The Ada County Coroner has released the identity of a man who was pulled from the Boise River on Sunday, July 23, 2023.

58-year-old Christopher Glass of Boise was found submerged in the Boise River near the Park Center Bridge. Glass was first reported missing on February 17, 2017.

According to Boise Police, Glass had been contacted by two bail bondsmen he then ran from a house on South Loggers Pond place toward the Boise River with a firearm before he was seen falling into the river on the day of his disappearance. The Boise Fire Department Dive Team located the firearm in the water near the shore while they searched for Glass but were unable to locate him at the time.

Glass's remains were found on Saturday, July 23, 2023, while an Ada County Sheriff's Office dive team member was doing snorkeling training on the Boise River.

The coroner reports that the investigation is ongoing and has not yet released a cause or manner of death.
