Sara Gore was born in May 1976 in Queensland, New York, to parents – George and Gail Gore. She has two older sisters. Her parents are now divorced after 36 years of marriage.
Sara attended the Queensbury High School and graduated in 1994. She went on to attend Marymount Manhattan School and majored in Communications with a minor in Business/Theatre.
Gore is now married to Matthew Miele, a director, and screenwriter. They have three children together. Griffin, Sawyer and Fiona who are aged 11, 9 and 6 respectively (ages as of 2023).
Sara’s had a cat since before her first child was born, named Mugs. A few years later, she adopted a dog from a shelter and named her Cookie.

She also did a pilot for Food Network that never got off the ground and then a cooking series for General Mills.
Her breakthrough was when she got a job with a startup lifestyle company called Code TV, which later changed its name to LXTV. They launched Open House and 1st Look and then got bought by NBC.
Sara has now been working for NBC for well over a decade and still hosts Open House while co-hosting New York Live.

Sara began acting in high school. Back in 1993, she took part in the Miss Teen USA pageant and walked away with the ‘Miss New York’ title.
